Pav Bhaaji is a fast food dish popular in most of the Indian Cities. Pav means bread and Bhaaji means curry.
Serves 4
Ingredients Required:
Medium Sized Potato - 2
Peas - 1/2 cup
Medium Sized Tomato - 3
Medium Sized Onion - 1
Green Chilly Chopped -2
Ginger Paste - 1 Tsp
Garlic Chopped - 3
Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp
Dry Mango Powder - 1 Tsp
Garam Masala / Pav Bhaaji Masala - 1 Tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 3 Tbl.sp
Paav - 8
Butter - 2 Tbl.sp
For Garnishing:
Chopped Cilantro
Chopped Onion
Lemon Juice
How to Make?
Boil the potato in a cooker for few minutes. Peal and slightly mash the potatoes.
Heat the oil in a pan.
Add green chillies, onion, garlic and ginger paste and fry for few minutes.
Add the tomatoes and saute for few minutes.
Add the red chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, dry mango powder, garam masala.
Add the mashed potatoes and stir for 5 minutes.
Add salt and butter.
Add little water and cook for 2 minutes.
Cut the pav in the middle and apply butter and toast the pav on both sides on a pan.
Garnish the Bhaaji with cut onions, cilantro and lemon juice and serve with the pav.
