An apple pie is a fruit pie (or tart) in which the principal filling ingredient is apples. It is sometimes served with whipped cream or ice cream on top.

Ingredients Required:
For the Crust
All Purpose Flour - 2 Cups
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Cold Water
For the Filling
Medium size Apples - 4 to 5
Brown Sugar - 1/3 Cup
White Sugar - 1/3 Cup
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
Cinnamon Powder - 1 tsp
Flour - 5 tsp
For the Glacing
Milk - 2 tbl.sp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 tsp
How to make?
Mix the dough, salt and pour the cold water and knead it.
Divide the dough into 2 halves.
Roll the first part of the dough into a circle with a rolling pin, roll the dough 2 inches more than that of the pie pan.
Grease the pan with butter and place the crust on the pan. Keep the pie pan in the fridge.
Peel and cut the apples into small cubes and mix with sugar, cinnamon, cardamom and flour.
Fill the crust with the filling.
With the other part of the dough, roll it into a circle and cut it into vertical strips.
Cover the pie with these vertical strips both vertically and horizontally.
Glaze the top of the pie with milk, sugar and cinnamon.
Preheat the oven to 400 F.
Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes.
Bake at 190 F for 45 minutes.
Cool the pie for 1 hour.
Serve the pie with Vanilla Ice Cream.
